Using innovative self-service kiosk technology, IGT will demonstrate how players could collect and pay for lottery tickets by simply waving a NFC-enabled payment card or device at the IGT Connected Screen. The integration of Ingenico’s secure payment technology into connected screens enables merchants to interact with their consumers in creative ways, while enabling frictionless purchases virtually anywhere via contactless payment card or NFC-enabled mobile wallets. Since Nov 19, 2015, in addition to a Drive-to-Store Connected Screen, BNP Paribas unveiled the first worldwide public Multi-Payment Connected Screen, proposing to consumers to donate for charity to 8 organisations: Action contre la Faim, Sidaction, Handicap International, Fondation de France, La Croix Rouge, Institut Pasteur, Ligue Contre le Cancer, ADIE. By waving their Payment cards or NFC payment phone on the picture of the organisations of their choice, the consumer can donate 5€, in less than 1 sec. This project in partership with Ingenico, is the endpoint of hard work and research between two compagnies. But now, the beginning of new perspectives in the future. More than 50 start-ups competed for 14 prizes at the French Contactless Awards on 12th March at the Ministry of Economy, Finances and Industry in Paris. The event was sponsored by BNP Parisbas, BPI France, Carrefour, CNRFID, Gemalto, Orange and SNCF. Vincent Berge Think&Go CEO presented the Connected Screens and came away with not ONE, but TWO awards. AFSCM Award. (Association Française du Sans Contact Mobile is an organisation run by the French Mobile Phone Operators to promote NFC services) Carrefour Award (supermarket chain with more than 4500 stores in France alone)
Carrefour, the leading supermarket chain with over 10.000 stores in 34 countries followed up on the success of their “C-où” application with a special version allowing consumers to manage the shopping list hands-free by putting the shopping list on the Samsung Gear S smartwatch. Consumers can add items to their shopping list using their smartphone through search, reading barcodes, or directly swiping items from a list of promotions or ingredients from a recipe. Airdoc Solutions develops a solution which vastly improves the experience at professional tradeshows. The solution uses FAMOCO FX 100 devices to read visitor badges and transmit the data to Airdoc in real-time. This data is then used to provide value-added services for visitors, exhibitors and event organizers. The FX 100 device was chosen for cost, reliability and the ability to update apps in a controlled and secure manner.
319 entries, 34 finalists, but only 11 winners. T&G submitted two products and walked away with two prizes in the secure electronics industry equivalent of the Oscars. The awards are made based on anonymous product descriptions and judged by a panel of industry experts. Our NFC-Shopping won the Mobility Award, and our Dynamic NFC-Screen the Discovery Award. These two awards brings T&G’s total to 7 innovation awards in 2013.
